Turn PDF highlights into editable study cards

How to use it
- Choose or drop a PDF, or load the synthetic annotated document.
- Filter by page, color or available author. Inspect selected text, comments, context and original locations.
- Select sources and create editable cards, or add a blank card manually.
- Write a question and answer, or choose Cloze and explicitly select the words to hide. Review source, preview and invalid-field messages.
- Generate separate UTF-8 TSV files for Basic and Cloze notes, or explicitly export editable JSON. Reopened TSV rows are checked before download.
- In Anki select Tab separation and HTML fields, choose the matching note type and map the two fields. Review duplicate/update settings and the import preview; first-field matching can update existing notes.
The synthetic PDF contains a two-line yellow highlight with Zürich, Café and literal HTML, plus a separate comment containing a tab, quotes, a line break and literal cloze braces. Only the explicitly chosen range should become an Anki deletion.
Details & limits
Embedded highlights, underline/strikeout/squiggly annotations and text comments only; no burned-in highlight detection, handwriting recognition, OCR or AI answers. 25 MiB, 100 pages and 2,000 annotations/cards; 20,000 characters per card field and 16 MiB per export. Partial text fragments use approximate geometry and require review. Format verification is not an actual Anki application import or an .apkg package. Embedded images: unfiltered/Flate pixels or checked JPEG, up to 8,192 px per side. Inline images, JPEG 2000, JBIG2, CCITT and unusual JPEG variants are unsupported.
Are tabs, HTML and existing cloze syntax imported literally?
Text is escaped as inert HTML, newlines use safe br tags, and literal braces/colons cannot introduce additional generated clozes. Only the selected range receives c1 syntax. Basic and Cloze files stay separate. Anki was not installed in the inspected environment, so the actual app import remains unperformed.
