Table to Excel

Recognize a table in an image or PDF and review its cells before exporting.

Processed on your deviceFree · No account needed

Read tables from digital PDF text or recognize printed text in PNG, JPEG and WebP images. Up to 5 images or one 5-page PDF; 10 MiB/image, 25 MiB/PDF, 12 megapixels/image, 200 rows and 30 columns. Local processing; no automatic upload.

How to use it

  1. Choose up to five images or a PDF with up to five pages, then select the table region.
  2. Use existing PDF text or explicitly load the English/German OCR files for printed images and scans.
  3. Correct row and column boundaries, compare cells with their original crops, and edit mistaken values.
  4. Choose how pages and repeated headers merge, confirm any number conversion, then create CSV or XLSX.

In the German image example, 0012 remains a text identifier. Selecting the amount column with a decimal point and apostrophe grouping converts 1’234.56 to the Excel number 1234.56.

Details & limits

Local English/German OCR requires an explicit model download. Review the table region, row and column lines, and recognized cells. Numeric types require confirmation; recognition is not guaranteed to be correct.

Why keep recognized numbers as text initially?

A value such as 0012 may be an identifier. Automatic conversion would lose its leading zeros. Choose numeric columns only after checking the source and decimal/grouping separators. OCR can still confuse digits or punctuation; inspect the original crop before confirming.
