How to use it

  1. Obtain your own export and select a supported conversation JSON file.
  2. Search titles or text, choose a conversation and inspect its branch.
  3. Download the selected conversation as Markdown or plain text.

Example: select one path from a fictional chat with an alternative answer.

Details & limits

JSON up to 10 MiB; ZIP 20 MiB / 512 entries / 32 MiB expanded. Up to 500 conversations / 20,000 nodes / 3 million text characters. Supported mapping layouts only; media is not reconstructed.

Does this connect to ChatGPT or recover deleted chats?

No. It reads a local file you provide. It cannot access an account, recover missing history or display absent attachments.

Find a conversation without importing your account

A downloaded conversation archive can be difficult to search or reuse. Open the supported JSON file here to inspect text and branches locally. Choosing a branch matters: an edited prompt or regenerated answer can leave several paths in one conversation. The selected path is exported as readable text, not as a restore file for an account. Images, attachments and unsupported message types are identified rather than invented. The provider can change its export format; unsupported structures are rejected.
