Edit and annotate PDF
Add text, images and marks; replace supported original PDF text.
Local processing · PDF up to 25 MiB / 100 pages · 200 fields or additions · 4,000 characters per field. Encrypted, digitally signed, scripted and XFA PDFs are rejected. Edited text uses Western European standard-font characters. JPEG/Flate images only; no inline images, JPX, JBIG2 or CCITT.
How to use it
- Choose a PDF or use the four-page synthetic example, including rotation and an offset CropBox.
- Add text, an image, a shape, a highlight or a drawing. Select each addition and set page, position, size, color, font, alignment and angle.
- Move selected boxes by dragging or arrow keys. Zoom for placement, duplicate or delete additions, and undo or redo up to 20 changes.
- For original text, open the separate inspection panel. Edit only supported objects; the replacement must fit the original area. Unsupported text remains unchanged.
- Create the PDF and inspect the actual exported first-page preview before downloading. Other pages remain available in the saved PDF.
The synthetic source contains selectable text and vector rectangles on four pages. Add a note to page 1, place a drawing on rotated page 2 and replace a supported source line with a shorter phrase. The replaced object must no longer contain its original phrase.
Details & limits
Local PDF processing: 25 MiB, 100 pages, 200 fields/additions and 4,000 characters per field; 60 seconds per operation. Encrypted, digitally signed, XFA and scripted PDFs or embedded files are rejected. Embedded images support checked JPEG and unfiltered/Flate pixels, up to 8,192 px per side; no inline images, JPEG 2000, JBIG2 or CCITT. Large expanded resources can be rejected. Original replacement supports visible top-level text with unembedded WinAnsi standard fonts only. Embedded/subset/custom fonts, nested objects and scans remain unchanged. New text supports Western European characters. Image imports: still PNG/JPEG, 10 MiB and 20 megapixels. The optional local text engine downloads about 4.4 MiB of WASM plus its JavaScript wrapper.
Does this replace every PDF word or permanently hide private content?
No. Actual replacement is limited to supported text objects. Additions and highlights are separate page content; they do not erase underlying words or create secure redactions. Use the dedicated PDF redaction workflow to remove sensitive visible content.
