  2. 2Select a pixel or enter its coordinates.
  3. 3Copy the colour or export the sampled palette as CSS.

Example: Pick the gold area in the synthetic image.

Details & limits

One still PNG/JPEG/WebP, 10 MiB / 20 MP / 8192 px. Pixel RGBA and sampled palette from the browser-decoded image; no print colour calibration.

Is the palette every colour in the image?

No. It is a bounded sample. Exact pixel selection and the approximate palette are shown separately.

Turn a visible colour into a reusable value

Select an exact pixel when you need a colour for a slide, website or drawing. The palette is a sample of the decoded picture, while the selected pixel has a specific RGBA value. Transparency matters: a translucent pixel can look different on another background. Browser colour conversion, display profiles and compression can affect the result, so this is not a physical paint matcher or a print calibration service.
