Quality (10–100%)

PNG is lossless; its quality setting is unused. JPEG/WebP quality is a browser encoder setting, not a guaranteed file size.

Transparency background

Fit inside maximum dimensions, keep aspect ratio, never enlarge

Exports are rebuilt from pixels: source EXIF/GPS, XMP and other metadata are discarded. Orientation is applied during decoding and checked against declared dimensions. Output uses an 8-bit sRGB canvas: exact ICC/HDR/wide-gamut colour preservation is not promised. Sequences, animation, multiple main images and unsupported crop metadata are rejected.

HEIC decoding uses heic-to 1.5.2, libheif 1.22.2 and libde265 1.0.16 under LGPL. Source downloads are optional and separate from image conversion.

How to use it

Select up to ten still images or use the HEIC/AVIF example batch.
Choose output format, quality, transparency background and optional maximum dimensions.
Convert and inspect successes and any explicitly reported failures.
Download individual images or the ZIP; keep your originals.

The rotated HEIC example decodes to 64 × 96 pixels. Transparent PNG pixels remain transparent in PNG/WebP when Preserve alpha is chosen.

Up to 10 still images, 10 MiB / 20 MP / 8,192 px each and 50 MiB combined. HEIC decoder included; AVIF and output encoders depend on browser support. Originals and metadata are not copied into pixel exports.

What happens to metadata and unsupported variants?

Exports are rebuilt from 8-bit sRGB canvas pixels. Source EXIF/GPS/XMP is not retained; the browser may add an sRGB profile. HDR and original color-profile preservation are not promised. Animation, sequences and multiple primary images are rejected. HEIC is decoded locally; AVIF depends on browser support. No cloud fallback.
