How to use it

  1. Select PDF pages and choose faithful images or editable reconstruction. Enable OCR explicitly if editable text is needed from scans.
  2. Review source previews and correct reconstructed text/table cells. Confirm each table candidate.
  3. Accept the visible limits: the first page defines slide size, other aspect ratios are centered without stretching, and complex graphics remain images.
  4. Create the actual PPTX and download it with the conversion report. Open it in PowerPoint or LibreOffice and inspect native text and table objects.

Convert the two-page sample into editable slides, change ID 0012, and inspect the PowerPoint text object and real table. The image mode instead makes each page one raster slide image and reports zero editable text objects.

Details & limits

Up to 5 PDFs, 10 MiB each, at most 20 selected pages across the batch, 6,000 text fragments and 120,000 characters per document. Bounded PNG previews and 100 image regions. Encrypted, signed or active PDFs and unsupported PDF image filters are rejected by the shared PDF preflight. English/German scan OCR is an optional separate download. Editable text uses Liberation Sans; original fonts and document semantics are not recovered automatically. Word reading flow keeps detected raster images; vector drawings require positioned mode. Editable tables require a clearly matched straight source grid or an empty graphics region. Ambiguous table artwork requires slide-image mode; no area is painted over to hide it.

What remains editable in the reconstructed presentation?

Native or reviewed OCR text becomes PowerPoint text objects; confirmed table candidates become real table objects. The remaining graphics layer is rasterized without repainting the original native text. Original chart data, slide masters and animations cannot be recovered from the PDF. Scanned-page graphics are omitted in editable OCR mode; faithful image mode preserves their visible appearance.
