Photo Duplicate Finder
Find byte-identical files and review separate suggestions for similar photos.
2–30 still PNG, JPEG or WebP files. Up to 10 MiB each, 60 MiB total, 20 megapixels and 8,192 pixels per side. Only explicitly selected files are read.
How to use it
- Choose 2–30 still photos and start the local comparison.
- Review exact byte duplicates separately from visual similarity suggestions.
- Compare candidate photos side by side and manually select the originals you want to copy.
- Create a ZIP of those unchanged original files, or download the comparison report.
The sample includes a landscape PNG, an exact copy, a recompressed JPEG and a different pattern. The copy matches by file hash; the JPEG is a visual similarity candidate.
Details & limits
Up to 30 JPEG, PNG or WebP images, 10 MiB each and 60 MiB combined; 20 MP per image. Similarity suggestions require manual review. Originals are never deleted.
Does a similarity match mean I can safely delete a photo?
No. Similar photos may have different details, crops or quality. The tool never deletes files and begins with no selected originals. You choose which originals to copy into the ZIP; their original bytes and metadata remain intact.
