How to use it
- Try the vocabulary example or add your own words. Add a clue for every crossword answer.
- Review the spelling preview and grid settings, then generate. Check any terms that could not be placed.
- Solve on screen or create a worksheet and a separate solution PDF. Save the editable project to reuse your vocabulary and layout.
A word search stores each word’s actual start, end and direction. A crossword shares matching letters at real crossings and numbers common starting cells once. Changing a word marks an existing puzzle as out of date until you generate again.
Details & limits
Up to 100 terms, with explicit spelling rules and a bounded generator. Terms that cannot be placed are listed. Large grids may need a smaller chosen font or different paper layout; exports never silently shrink your text. Projects and solving stay on this device.
Can every list become a complete crossword?
No. Words must have compatible crossing letters and respect neighbouring cells. Disconnected or oversized terms may remain unplaced; the tool lists them instead of claiming a complete result. Try a larger grid, different terms or a new seeded variant. Worksheets and solutions come from the same saved puzzle. Online solving requires no learner account and is not a secure exam system.
