Six matches for four teams

In a single round robin, every pair meets once.

  1. Check the pairings

    Check the pairings

Four teams make six distinct matches. Each team plays three times.

    • Checked: No team in two matches at once
    • Unchecked: Field times and rest still to check

    Then schedule the fields

The two matches in a row use different teams and may run together on two fields, subject to time and rest settings.

Pairings are only the first step. Review the independently checked schedule before sharing or printing.

Illustrative example. Illustrative pairings; generated ordering may differ. A valid schedule is not a guarantee of the shortest possible event.

How to use it

  1. 1Load the eight-team example or enter your teams, fields and event time zone.
  2. 2Choose round robin or knockout. Set match duration and rest breaks, then generate and review the schedule.
  3. 3Record results next to the match. Check conflicts after moving a match or changing a result. Save a project backup and export your chosen view.

8 teams play 28 matches in a single round robin. Two fields can run in parallel only when no team overlaps and each team receives its required rest.

Details & limits

2–64 teams. Local planning, editable project backups and bounded scheduling with independent conflict checks. A valid plan is not a proof of optimality. Publishing requires a configured sharing service and an organiser account.

Does the planner guarantee the shortest possible tournament?

No. It checks every proposed schedule against field overlaps, possible participants, rest, blocked times and knockout dependencies. A valid plan can still contain avoidable waiting. If a bounded search cannot fit the plan, try a later end time or more fields. Byes are not played matches. Standings use completed results only; unresolved ties retain the same rank.

A schedule you can run

Start with eight teams and two fields, then adapt the event. The planner keeps teams, match results and time slots together. A separate check reports conflicts instead of silently breaking your rules. Use the team and field views for participants and helpers; save a project file to continue editing later.
