How to use it
- Choose a local video or use the moving-image and tone example. Review its container, codecs, duration, orientation and tracks.
- Choose a container-only switch or re-encoding, then select an available MP4 H.264/AAC or WebM VP8/Opus profile.
- Set the maximum decimal MB and, for re-encoding, the maximum side length. Convert and wait for the actual output to be reopened and decoded.
- Play and listen to the result. Download only when the byte target and checks pass; otherwise adjust the target or profile.
A 5 MB target means 5,000,000 bytes including audio and container data. Re-encoding can reduce quality; a container-only switch preserves compressed packets and cannot guarantee a smaller file.

Can any damaged video be repaired or converted in every browser?
No. Profiles depend on the browser’s actual decoding and encoding support. Conversion supports one video and at most one audio track; HDR and extra tracks are blocked. Limits are 50 MiB input, 60 seconds, 1,920 px per side and 2.07 MP. Re-encoding uses at most three attempts, 60 seconds of work and 64 MiB output, with no cropping or upscaling. Rotation and audio are checked, and there is no cloud fallback. Review playback and sound before relying on the file.
