Mix stereo into mono, keep only the left or right channel, or duplicate mono into two identical channels. Preview waveforms and download a checked WAV.

How to use it
- Load one mono or stereo audio file or the synthetic stereo example.
- Choose mono mix, left, right or, for mono input, duplicate channels.
- Create the WAV, compare the result and download the checked file.
Example: left contains +0.5 and right −0.5 at the same sample. Their mono average is zero; selecting left retains +0.5.
Details & limits
Audio up to 20 MiB / 60 seconds; one mono/stereo track at 8–96 kHz. PCM 16-bit WAV. Sample rate and duration retained. Duplicating mono does not recreate spatial stereo; opposite-phase signals can cancel when mixed.
Can this recover true stereo from an old mono recording?
No. Duplicating mono writes the same samples into two channels. It meets a channel-count requirement without inventing stereo separation or reconstructing missing audio.
