How to use it
- Choose one supported audio file or try the synthetic stereo example.
- Set manual gain or a sample-peak target and inspect both channel waveforms.
- Create the WAV, listen to the verified output and download it.
Example: a signal peaking at −12 dBFS needs +6 dB gain to reach −6 dBFS. Both stereo channels receive that same gain.
Details & limits
Audio up to 20 MiB / 60 seconds; one mono/stereo track at 8–96 kHz. Gain −24 to +24 dB; peak target −12 to 0 dBFS. PCM 16-bit WAV output. Browser-supported codecs only; not LUFS or true-peak normalization.
Does peak normalization make different recordings sound equally loud?
No. Recordings with the same sample peak can have different perceived loudness. This is not LUFS matching, noise removal or compression. Output uses PCM 16-bit WAV; artwork and source metadata are not copied.
