Choose the part of a recording you need, listen to the preview and download an actual WAV clip. Audio stays in your browser.
Preparing your tool…
How to use it
- Open a supported audio file or load the synthetic tone example.
- Set the start and end of the desired clip, and add a short fade only if wanted.
- Create the WAV, listen to the exported preview and download the clip.
Example: Keeping 2–8 seconds of a 10-second voice memo creates a 6-second clip. The output is a new WAV, not an overwritten recording.
Details & limits
One file up to 20 MiB and 120 seconds, mono or stereo. Browser-decodable audio only. Optional fades up to 2 seconds and at most half the clip. Output: 16-bit PCM WAV.
Why is the exported WAV sometimes larger than my MP3?
WAV stores uncompressed 16-bit audio samples, while MP3 and AAC use compression. A shorter WAV can therefore be larger in bytes than its source. Which input codecs open depends on your browser; this tool does not export MP3 or guarantee lossless preservation of a compressed source.
