How to use it
- Choose the layout matching your keyboard.
- Focus the test area and press individual keys or combinations.
- Compare code, key, location and repeat for the current event.
- Use Tab or Escape to leave; reset clears observations.
The same physical KeyY position can produce a different key label on German and US layouts. Holding a key creates repeat events, not proof of duplicate presses.
Details & limits
US, German and Swiss layout references. Events only inside the focused test area; no text history. Reserved browser/OS shortcuts may never reach the page. Untested is not defective.
Why are some shortcuts or keys not highlighted?
Operating systems and browsers can reserve events. Layout references and browser reports are not a full electrical keyboard test.
