How to use it

  1. Focus the test area and click the buttons you want to check.
  2. Scroll vertically or horizontally inside that area.
  3. Adjust the short-click interval reference and inspect counts.
  4. Leave the area normally or reset to clear the session.

Two observed clicks 80 ms apart fall below a 120 ms reference. That is an observation for investigation, not proof of a faulty switch.

Details & limits

Only test-area mouse events. Adjustable short-interval reference; no hardware DPI, polling-rate or latency measurement. Browser scheduling affects observed intervals.

Can this measure the polling rate or diagnose double clicking?

No. The page sees dispatched browser events, which can be delayed or grouped. Compare observations with settings and behavior in another application.

What short click intervals can tell you

Completed press-and-release pairs are counted per mouse button. Repeat the test with slow, separate clicks when short intervals appear; intentional double clicks can produce the same observation. Focus loss or leaving the test area breaks the interval sequence. Browser event timing does not measure hardware latency, polling rate or DPI. Additional buttons may be reserved for browser navigation.
