How to use it

  1. Choose PDFs or load the synthetic example. Add further PDFs when needed; adding sources preserves the arrangement but starts a new undo history.
  2. Select pages with the checkboxes. Move them earlier/later or to an output position, duplicate them or remove them.
  3. Insert blank A4 pages at the chosen position. Use the 24-page thumbnail windows, undo and redo to review the full arrangement.
  4. If document features are detected, review and accept form flattening and the stated annotation/label/tag/metadata changes. Links to removed destinations cannot be retained.
  5. Create organized.pdf and inspect the actual output preview and counts of retained links/bookmarks, fixed fields and removed annotations/bookmarks before downloading.

Arrange source pages as 2, 1, 2 and then a blank page. The output contains four pages. A supported link from source page 1 to source page 2 targets the first retained occurrence of page 2, now output page 1.

Details & limits

Up to 25 MiB input/output and 100 pages; 60 seconds per operation. Encrypted or digitally signed PDFs, XFA, embedded files, active document actions and nonstandard UserUnit scales are unsupported. Checked JPEG and unfiltered/Flate images are supported within decoded-resource limits; no inline images, JPEG 2000, JBIG2 or CCITT. No PDF/A, PDF/UA or signature-validity certification. Up to 10 PDFs, 100 combined source pages and 100 output pages. Only the current 24 thumbnails are rendered; up to 50 undo/redo arrangements. Ordinary form appearances are flattened. Unsupported annotations, page labels, document metadata and structure tags are not retained. Supported link/bookmark destinations are remapped to whole pages.

How are interactive forms, duplicates and links to removed pages handled?

Existing form appearances become fixed page content after explicit confirmation; the result is not an editable copy of those fields. URI links and supported internal links/bookmarks are rebuilt with whole-page targets. Duplicated destinations resolve to their first retained occurrence; removed destinations and unsupported annotations/bookmarks are omitted and counted. The rebuild does not certify secure deletion of all hidden data. Check the resulting links and page order yourself.
