Repeated letterhead
One selected layer page is placed on each selected base page.
Choose background for a letterhead or foreground for content above the original.
Illustrative example. Synthetic example. White painted areas stay opaque; preview the real output. This is not redaction.
How to use it
- Choose the base PDF and the second PDF to overlay.
- Select base pages. Use matching page numbers for equally sized page sets, or repeat a chosen layer page.
- Choose foreground or background, proportional fit or unscaled centred placement, and opacity.
- Create the PDF and check the actual result. White areas in a layer remain opaque.
Repeat a single-page letterhead behind selected base pages. Their count, order, visible crops and rotations remain those of the base document.
Details & limits
Up to 25 MiB and 100 pages; 60 seconds. Encrypted/signed PDFs, XFA, attachments, active actions and unsupported image encodings are rejected. No PDF/A or accessibility certification. Two PDFs, 25 MiB combined. Forms, annotations/links, bookmarks, page labels, tags, optional layers, output intents and transparency groups are rejected for this workflow. Opacity 10–100%; original aspect ratio retained.
Does overlaying flatten the pages into screenshots?
No. Supported text and vector content from the second document is embedded into the base. Background layers can be hidden by an opaque white page. Unscaled content that does not fit is blocked; it is not stretched or silently cropped. Overlaying cannot securely redact existing content.
