How to use it

  1. 1Open a screenshot or the example.
  2. 2Place arrows, short text or numbered markers.
  3. 3Review, undo if necessary and export the PNG.

Example: Mark two controls on a synthetic interface.

Details & limits

One still PNG/JPEG/WebP, 10 MiB / 20 MP / 8192 px. Manual annotations become pixels in a new PNG. Annotations are not secure redaction.

Are annotations a safe way to hide private text?

No. Use solid pixel redaction for that task and check the entire result. This tool is for explanation, not privacy removal.

Show exactly where someone should look

A short support request becomes clearer when an arrow points to the relevant button and numbered markers establish the order. Add only the annotations you need, undo mistakes and inspect the full image before sharing. The exported PNG contains the marks as pixels. Marking a screenshot does not anonymise it; use the separate image redaction tool if private information must be removed.
