How to use it

  1. Select the files to include or open the synthetic metadata example.
  2. Review the register, sort it and remove unwanted rows.
  3. Download the CSV with formula protection enabled for filenames.

Example: three fictional files of 1,024, 245,760 and 4,096 bytes produce a total of 250,880 bytes.

Up to 500 selected files. Metadata only; no file-content size limit. File paths are not included. Browser-supplied types and dates are not independently verified. CSV output up to 5 MiB.

Does this confirm that two files with the same name are identical?

No. Names, sizes and dates are metadata, not content verification. Use the file checksum tool when you need to compare actual file bytes.

A register without opening the documents

For a handover or archive check, you may need a list of files rather than another copy of their contents. The inventory uses only the names, types, byte sizes and modification dates exposed by the file picker. Sort by name, type, size or date, remove unwanted entries and check the exact total before downloading. Repeated names remain separate rows; they do not prove identical content. Folder paths are omitted. A missing type stays empty in the CSV, and dates use UTC for a consistent export. No checksum, content inspection or recursive folder scan is performed.
